Two friends who have a love of all things textile started Treadles many years ago.
We moved into a restored georgian building and that is where we remain today, 28 years later. We have recently added knitting and crochet to our mix of textile offerings. Bernina, Bernette and Singer sewing machines also play an important part of our retail offerings.

We have an Extensive range of Knitting and Crochet Yarns. ROWAN, MANOS DEL URAGUAY, SCHEEPJES, OLYMPUS, ANCHOR. Samples have been knitted up to aid the knitter to compare yarns, texture etc. From Acrylics to Cashmere and everything in between including 100% Cottons. We have a lay away service, so no need to purchase everything in one go just pop in and draw off your stash over four weeks. We are continually updating our ranges as seasons change and new yarns become available.
There is also a good selection of Knitting and Crochet accessories, macrame yarns, hoops and wooden beads.
